Description
Juma is a seven-year-old Class One pupil at Heshima Primary School in Western Kenya. At first, he hates going to school. It was not until he got introduced to Mathematics and numbers that his enthusiasm for counting made him popularly known in the village as ‘Juma Hesabu’.
Zeero, one of his classmates, is a seven-year-old girl of mixed Burundian and Kenyan parentage. Initially, they did not like each other, partly because Juma often made jokes about her Burundian origin. However, gradually, they recognised that they shared a common thing: A love for maths!
This becomes an inspiring friendship that would see them on a path to excel in maths, and beyond!
