Description
Making the transition from primary school to high school should be smooth sailing, right? For Ricky Ogutu, a perennial achiever, it seems like the natural next step. Armed with promises, expectations, and a carefully maintained image of success, he steps into what he believes will be a fresh and exciting chapter.
However, not long after orientation week, he begins to realize that the high school life he was sold bears little resemblance to the one unfolding before him—a living nightmare.
Caught between strict teachers, indifferent classmates, a tyrannical prefects’ system and a rigid social hierarchy, Ricky finds himself at odds with almost everything his new reality has to offer. Whether he means it or not, his reluctance to bend sets him on a collision course with a system that demands nothing short of absolute obedience from a form one.
