Kikuyu Folktales includes 18 traditional folktales which are complimented by a robust section dedicated to discussing their unique context, history and interpretations. The aim of this work is to explore the nature of folktales: to expose the didactic and humorous qualities that lie hidden behind the apparently simplicity of tales.
