First off, I was a biology nerd.

So, what happens when a biology nerd writes a book? It becomes a crossbreed of fiction and biology. Plus history and a lot of things, apparently, in this novel. Legal stuff, weird criminal stuff, tech stuff, and a lot more.

At the very beginning, I set out to write this novel to educate you about the role your lungs play in your body. This was inspired by Covid, and it made me start looking at lungs as an organ with immense power and also a huge vulnerability — it “sets you up” to die. Think of how people die when they have jikos in their rooms. But as I let the muse take over, she (it must be a she) led me to crannies I don’t even understand. She fell just short of showing me where kumikumi juice is being sold.
